2| Mother of the Infinite

Fools are the ones who are scared of death,
For death is nothing but a crucial part of a never ending life cycle.

Author's POV

Rajeshwari's belly was getting significant day by day. She and Vishnuvardhan were successful in hiding her pregnancy from the world till now, but this wasn't easy.

They dwelled in the outer belts of Himalayan ranges, where a secret cave was built naturally. The community of Rajeshwari thrived there. She was a mountain woman, with fair skin, brown hair and pink berry like lips. Her eyes were greyish blue in colour. Her striking appearance was a primary reason for Vishnuvardhan's initial infatuation towards her.

Both of them couldn't realise when this infatuation turned into love, the real unbreakable bond of love. As Rajeshwari began feeling pain in her swollen feet, Vishnuvardhan held them over his lap, and began massaging it.

"Prince, you shouldn't. I am a common girl, just the daughter of a priest. You shouldn't touch my feet."

A timid Rajeshwari replied, her lotus petal shaped eyes lowered coyly. This was one of Vishnuvardhan's favourite gestures. Sucking on his lips, he pecked her forehead lovingly.

"You allowed me to touch your entire self when we got married secretly, and now you refuse to give me your feet. Why such double standards, my Queen?"

He teased her, and she giggled hiding in his arms. This is how she behaves when her husband tries to flirt with him. Their love kept cherishing within the observation of nature. The trees, birds and winds used to sing melodies of love when both of them spent time together there, as if the entire nature was waiting for something.

Someone's arrival probably!

"You are my husband."

She replied, gradually leaning her head backwards to steal a glance of her handsome husband.

"And that makes me more worthy of it, right?"

Vishnuvardhan stated, making Rajeshwari turn all pink with shyness.

"Hmm!" She hummed, her gaze still lowered coyly.

"I will name our son 'Rajvardhan'. 'Raj' from your name, and 'vardhan' from my side."

Vishnuvardhan spoke, gazing at the scene before them. Both of them were admiring the company of nature to their fullest.

"That's a beautiful name."

Rajeswari cheered in excitement. She was quite excited and nervous to feel the phase of motherhood.

(In the Mansion of Veerendra)

"The battle must begin!"

The personal assistant of Veerendra insisted, urging the mad King to take drastic steps.

"We will invade the secret community of Himalayas - the sacred Brahmins. We will slaughter them."

Veerendra growled, his eyes turned pitch black, but no one could see this transition. Kali was entangled with his body, like a humanoid serpent - his eyes crimson red, with two prominent horns emerging from his temporal lobes. He was embedded into Veerendra now.

"The media won't cover this incident because the place where they live is unknown to everyone, but I know its secret code."

Rupesh, the personal assistant and commander of Veerendra's black army spoke, pride and ego leaking down his voice.

"This can be dangerous, your highness! Those people are divine."

Another army man in their team interrupted, but he was beheaded by Veerendra immediately.

"Fuck everything! There is no God, and no one will protect any of them."

Veerendra roared in exasperation, and walked out of his place to attack the sacred city named Sambhala.

Rajeshwari POV

Himalaya - the abode of Gods, is my home. And my village Sambhala, resides in a district named as Gyanganj. I am a Shiva Devotee, and I always desired a man who could love me like Shiv loves Mata Parvati.

I didn't know that my prayers will be heard so soon, and I will get my dream husband in these woods. Rajkunwar Vishnuvardhan has all the traits that a woman would want in her husband.

He is a royal born, still he worships me like I'm his deity. The nights that I spend lying on his arms are the best ones. We married secretly, and my family knows it, but his doesn't. He has a few younger brothers, but I know about one only - Veerendra bhaiya, who will visit us soon here.

No one can get into this place easily because this place cannot be seen by everyone. If one climbs up the Himalayas, he will see only snow all around, but once he meditates upon this secret code with the feeling of surrender towards Mahadeva, he will get into this place extemporaneously.

No evil soul get into this place because they don't know about its existence. My delivery time is close, and unluckily my husband has to leave for his home - the palace situated in secluded places of Delhi, the palace once belonged to Maharaj Adhiraj Prithviraj Chauhan.

He wishes to re-establish the reign of his great ancestor, but he is still not able to decide how will he do that. He left the place, after imparting hundreds of kisses on my abdomen and my cheeks.

Two months have passed, and I've no idea where he is. I tried to know where he was, but no one could tell me his exact location at this moment. I wanted him during my labour period, but I don't think he will be able to come here.

"Rajeshwari, Rajkunwar won't be able to come now."

A young priestess told me, coming towards me. My heart skipped a beat upon hearing such words. My life depends on him, my existence revolves around him. I cannot even imagine what I would be if he isn't with me.

"Why?"

I asked her immediately, my voice trembled since I was panicking.

"His brother attacked him secretly, and he wasn't prepared. They have trapped him now."

Her words shook me completely. I wasn't expecting this from Maharaj Adhiraj Prithviraj Chauhan's blood, and the worst part about all these events is that he knows the secret code to this place.

"No! This cannot be true. My child......anhhhhh!"

A sudden pain hit my lower abdomen, and it felt like it would tear apart.

"Rajeshwari, what happened?"

The woman asked, coming close to me. I suddenly crouched on the floor, the ache crossing the very limits of my endurance.

"Anhhhhh! The baby wants to come out."

I shrieked, my voice filled with melancholy and excruciating pain. The woman beside me began looking for someone to aid me, while my vision started turning blurry.

"Mahadev! Come with me."

Her quavering voice invaded my ears, but a sense of discomfort in my ears accompanied this sensation. Another wave of pain hit my abdomen.

"Anhhhhhh!"

My scream tore out extempore, my senses seemed to be getting impaired all of a sudden. I managed to keep my eyes open, and tried to push on my own. The young priestess, who had been accompanying me till now, had gone somewhere to search for someone, but it seemed my baby wasn't ready to wait for anyone now.

"Anhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Another heart wrenching scream escaped mouth, that felt like trembling the universe. There was no one around me now, and the push given by the baby was quite harsh. A beam of light emerged from my core, that was totally unexpected, and all the pain disappeared suddenly.

It felt like the baby was coming out on its own, without anyone's efforts. Three light beings appeared before me, all females. I had no idea who they were, but they facilitated my labour, bringing out the baby without any haste.

I saw the little head, little limbs of him, but before I could think of anything, everything blackened before my gaze. I was scared of what will happen to my child if I lose consciousness, but I could still not handle myself.

Author's POV

Goddess Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati had appeared in human forms to aid the birth of Rajeshwari's son. Bhagwati Yogmaya immediately hid the newborn from the evil eyes of the surroundings.

The baby boy had amsha of Bhagwan Shiva and Bhagwan Vishnu, and Yogmaya will never let anyone know who he actually is. Rajeshwari gained consciousness after a while, and saw Vishnuvardhan caressing a little baby's head.

"Rajkunwar!" She sibilated, her voice shivered a little.

"My beloved!" Vishnuvardhan leaned on to her, pecking her forehead, thanking her for the beautiful gift that was resting in his arms.

"Your brother had trapped you?"

She asked, advancing her arms to grab her little life in her hands.

"I managed to escape, my love! And here is our son - Rajvardhan!"

He muttered to her softly, placing the baby beside Rajeshwari.

"Rajvardhan!" She maffled, her eyes turned teary at the sight of the tiny baby.

"He is hungry!"

Vishnuvardhan whispered, when the baby began opening his little mouth for the milk. Rajeshwari uncovered her breasts for the baby, who grabbed her nipple after a little struggle.

Rajvardhan began growing with his parents. Veerendra didn't attack them after that, or perhaps he couldn't access that place. Four years passed, and Rajeshwari was pregnant again - this time with twins.

Veerendra was totally ready this time, all he needed was an opportunity to attack Vishnuvardhan and little Rajvardhan, that he wasn't getting because Vishnuvardhan hadn't stepped out of Gyanganj since the birth of Rajvardhan.

The palace of Chahmanas was ruining gradually, something that was troubling Vishnuvardhan because its his ancestral heritage was deteriorating.

Rajeshwari had given birth to two sons this time, but Vishnuvardhan had to leave her right after the birth of their sons for some work.

Veerendra, didn't miss the chance this time, and attacked Vishnuvardhan with full force, ultimately killing him.
