43. Ultimate War🩸

Raghav POV

The King of Awadh didn't seem like the one I had met in real life. His eyes appeared incensed red as if he was possessed by some evil entity. Bhagwati knows what happened to him.

I tried to approach him with my sword in my hand, but where is my sword. I roamed my hands around my waist to find it, but it wasn't there.

Damn!

I walked bare handed to him, and he turned towards me, carrying an angry look on his face. I got startled by him for a moment, and suddenly heavy sounds of someone hitting the ceiling bothered me.

But there was no ceiling in this palace!

"What the hell is happening with me?"

I muttered to me, holding my head that felt like bursting with all the negative emotions that had never bothered me.

"Raghav!"

Chandani's voice invaded my ears, and suddenly everything felt a little better to me now.

"Chandani!"

I mumbled, gazing upwards. The sounds of ploughing became quite audible to me now. The King of Awadh disappeared apparantly from before me.

"Raghav!"

I pivoted my head backwards, and saw Chandani standing before me. Ranveer and Indrajeet stood behind her. She opened her arms, and immediately crouched to encase me in a soothing hug.

"Chandani! I don't know what is happening to me?"

I somewhat sobbed holding my life tightly. I never knew she could heal me so much. Her mere touch was making me feel butterflies and calmness.

"You were being tested, Raghav! And you've proved it that no negativity can affect you."

She muttered to me, her palms gently tracing my back, while she kept imparting soft kisses all over my face.

"Yuddhjeet is captured. The King must return to punish him."

She mumbled to me, lovingly caressing my head as our gazes met. She was in tears. For a moment, I was shocked to decipher that my Chandani defeated him. The woman who was scared to face him directly, defeated him today.

I was proud of her today, but suddenly I realised that Maharaj Shauryaditya wasn't present with us anymore.

"The King of Awadh, what happened to him?"

I asked Chandani, Indrajeet and Ranveer. Both of my brothers took a place beside me.

"He is no King! He is an illusion, or perhaps negativity affected him."

Indrajeet spoke up, trying to find him everywhere. His gaze wavered to all the corners of this illusionary palace.

"We need to leave Raghav, before Yuddhjeet does something that we don't desire."

Chandani spoke up, and I inhaled sharply, nodding my head.

"Fine!" I stood up, and she handled me the sword. I gawked at her with shocked expressions because this sword is too heavy to lift, and she could do so during her pregnancy phase.

"I don't know how it was possible, Raghav...but I'm sure we'll know it soon."

She mumbled to me. She understands what I think.

"Hm!" I hummed in response, and we all walked out of the tunnel like structure, without the King of Awadh, who had mysteriously disappeared now.

The moment we reached into the tent, a chaotic scene welcomed us.

"He escaped, my Queen! Salutations, my King!"

A soldier told us, a few dead bodies lay there. I flared in anger, and immediately ran to my horse. Mounting over it, I swiftly moved to the palace of Vijaygarh.

Many of its homes were burning. He did all this so fast. I mounted down thd horse at the entrance of the Royal Palace, where the throne is kept, and walked inside.

"Welcome, Raghav."

His voice echoed in the vacant palace, and my gaze fell on a dark shadow perching on the throne, with his one leg placed on the throne and the other resting on the floor.

"I knew you would come for me."

He groaned again, when I started walking to him - my steps dominating and predatory. I was not speaking about anything, but my conscience was analysing everything present in this hall since anything here could be a trap.

"It's always the Good that comes chasing the Evil because the Evil never chases anyone."

He declared, his head rolled upwards. He was gawking at the ceiling, his body began turning scaly gradually. He is just six days away from being fully transformed into a Devil.

"The Good never chases Evil. It destroys it."

I asserted, walking towards him. The sound of my steps reverberates throughout the hall.

"What's the meaning of living if your purpose is me?"

He asked with utmost pride in his voice, his red eyes now focussed on me.

"You were never mg purpose, Yuddhjeet. You stand between me and my purpose."

I declared, standing right before him now. He swiftly picked up his sword, without letting me think twice and attacked me, but I placed mine before it, making both of them clash.

A thunder like spark generated from them, and he pushed me, but I was quick enough to switch our positions, and he fell down the stage where the throne is placed.

"Agghhhhhhh!"

He roared like some monster, and I walked down the steps.

"Raghav!"

I glanced at the entrance, and saw Chandani standing over there.

Author's POV

Chandralekha walked to the Royal Palace, and stood at its entrance. The scene before her shook her to the core.

Raghav's eyes had turned yellow, while Yuddhjeet had red eyes, and he was slowly transforming into the Devil.

Both of their swords were clashing so harshly that it felt like lightening produced from their friction. Chandralekha could never imagine that any such event happening before her eyes.

Both of them were meant to fight. This war was destined to happen. After a few clashes, they hurled some wounds onto each other's body.

Yuddhjeet tried his best to dominate Raghav, but he attacked his chest, making fall on his knees. That is when he began chanting the supreme Devi mantra, whose echoes were hurting Yuddhjeet so much that his body starts developing cracks everywhere, that began bleeding profusely.

Raghav held the ropes, and tied him up, chanting the mantras so that he cannot escape it this time.

He then dragged Yuddhjeet through the entire Palace, and brought him outside, on the stage where Maharaj Vishwaroop was executed.

A boat was arranged by his brothers, waiting there. It's wall had maggots attached to them, and they were wrapped with a sheath. Once Yuddhjeet sits on it, they will be exposed, and would eat Yuddhjeet - slowly and painfully.

Raghav, unexpectedly made him sit on a chair, and the shackles were put around him. His men lifted up Yuddhjeet's feet, and tied them to a wooden wedge, spreading them apart.

He shrieked, and Raghav brought out a blade, sitting close to one of his feet. Yuddhjeet, by now, had understood that Raghav would peel off his sole, but before that Indrajeet stood tall before him, with a dagger in his hands.

He held his cheeks tightly, making Yuddhjeet's tongue protrude out.

"This is what you did to my mother!"

Groaning so, Indrajeet chopped off his tongue, making him scream silently. Yuddhjeet was totally messed up now. Abhimanyu, under the orders of Raghav, began peeling off the sole of Yuddhjeet's lips were parted, but only blood could be seen there, with no sound of screams - just incoherent masculine groans were audible.

Raghav gouged out Yuddhjeet's eyes, leaving his face all covered with blood. Yuddhjeet was being tortured for an entire day like this, and after that he was thrown into the boat with maggots smearing its walls.

They started feeding upon Yuddhjeet when he was alive, ruining him completely.

Ambika had left the spot since she couldn't witness such brutality, while Chitra ran away from there because she felt like nauseating.

Only Chandralekha stood there - blank and emotionless. The number of brutalities she suffered under Yuddhjeet's torture kept her still in this place. All she could remember were her father, Sukanya and little Rooprekha.

The boat was pushed away from the shore, and Yuddhjeet was flown away alongwith the water currents.

"He will return dead after a few months. Our men will follow him."

Raghav told his Chandani, and the chapter of Yuddhjeet got closed forever.
