Raghav POV
After crossing that area, all I wanted at that moment was to escape this place. The phobias of a human mind were haunting me gravely, when I saw a white light approaching me from a distance.
It could be an illusion too!
The thought hit my mind like a thunderbolt, and I began running to the opposite side of it. The region over my left ankle got severely injured as I fell down stumbling upon something, and now the sounds of my mother cooing to me, Ambika moaning my name, Chandani despising me for my lustful behaviour and whatnot began hitting my head as if someone was beating me with a hammer.
Closing my ears with both my hands after putting the sword back into the sheath, I started screaming, tears cascading down my cheeks continuously and I managed to stand up.
I began running in the dark, unaware of where the path would lead me to.
Chandralekha POV
I have no idea where my husband got disappeared, but the army men wailing before me and Prince Indrajeet's swollen eyes are trying their best to prove that he's no more.
I kept my hand over my belly, where the symbol of love is slowly cherishing and closed my eyes inhaling sharply.
"My love is alive! I can feel him....He is alive somewhere, perhaps thinking of me, perhaps wondering that I would find him. I cannot decieve his trust."
Whispering this to myself, I slowly opened my eyes and gazed around. The burnt warrior had broken down into tears, and that is when we got to know that he was Ranveer bhaiya. Chitra sat by my side, while Ambika was preparing medicines for my better health.
"Bhabhi, you need to be strong. The battle isn't over yet."
Prince Indrajeet spoke to me, and I smiled with an expression of satisfaction on my face.
"Nor is my husband."
I declared, raising up from my seat.
"I know he is alive."
I declared with utmost confidence, and as expected everyone gave me a shocked look.
"He isn't, bhabhi...and even if he is, Yuddhjeet must have trapped him somewhere and he will attack us within a few moments. Indra, we must lead the battle now."
Ranveer bhaiya blurted out. I know he is worried about me, but what I just mentioned is important for all of us.
"No!" I mumbled, showing my palm to them.
"I will lead the battle now."
As these words slipped off my tongue, all men stared at me with utmost flabbergasted expressions. I know my words were enough to shock everyone, but this is my final decision.
"You cannot, my Queen. You are not only our responsibility, but also our pride."
The chief commanded, Abhimanyu spoke up. Tears accumulated in the edge of his eyes.
"He had already attacked your honour once, but luckily everyone who witnessed it is dead, except that bloody Usurper."
He asserted, lowering his gaze. None of these men look at me directly because this is what our culture is. These are the kind of men the society needs, not like Yuddhjeet.
"I am your Queen, a mother figure to you all. It is my duty to protect you all, and fight in the place of your King when he is absent."
I announced, with a straight posture and firm voice. My tone sounded much like that of Raghav, and it is his strength speaking from within me.
It's time to revise everything he taught me till now.
"You are pregnant, bhabi."
Chitra whispered to me, from behind and I smiled, gazing at her softly.
"That's great! She has learnt a lot of scriptures till now. It's her time to learn warfare."
I mumbled, caressing my insignificantly swollen belly lovingly.
"Get on the positions. I'll be there to command you within a few minutes."
I declared aggressively, and everyone nodded without showing any interest in my words. Most of them seemed scared.
"Help me change Chitra and Ambika."
I muttered to my two sisters. They came inside the tent with me, and helped me wear a masculine attire with metal armours and adjusted the sword sheath beside me, and arrow holder behind my shoulder.
Where are you, Raghav?
I mumbled to myself, without saying anything, with my eyes closed and sharp exhale followed it. I know he is here, maybe taken into a prison by Yuddhjeet. I need to save him. This is an opportunity that Bhagwati has offered me.
I held my nuptial chain in between my index finger and thumb, and glanced at it with tear filled eyes. I applied the vermillion in between the partition of my hairline, and paid salutations to the Goddess before leaving the tent.
With the help of a wide cloth, I tied my belly not quite tightly, but strong enough to prevent any jolts to my baby. I could not climb the horse directly in this condition, so I sat in a buggy supported by four horses and proceeded to the battlefield.
There he stood, far away from me, his lustful gaze was troubling even when I was so away from him. Bloody monster and a coward - Yuddhjeet. On his black horse, he appeared to me as if death surrounded him.
This is your last war, Yuddhjeet!
Thinking so, I commanded my saarthi to move to him. She followed my instructions blindly. I want to defeat him solely at the hands of women. The buggy ran towards him, while his horse ran towards her.
We were just a few steps apart, when I adjusted the arrow on the bow, and targetted it at him, one after the other. One of them injured his thigh, and that is when he was shocked.
Then he repeated the same for me, and I quickly crouched on the buggy, but that sudden movement made my abdomen ache.
My baby!
I instantly stood up, and began attacking him with my arrows again. He kept replying me, but all he could do was harm my hind arm with one arrow, while I shot five arrows at different points on his body.
He turned his horse to the opposite side, but I followed him. But after a few minutes, I saw am arrow heading towards my belly.
He had shot it mysteriously, by bending his hand to the back, that missed my eyes. I had no option rather than accepting my fate, when suddenly a strong blazing light shine from within my womb - so strong that my eyes got shut under its effect.
I couldn't decipher what happened to me, but the horses kept following Yuddhjeet till he went inside his palace. I mounted the buggy with my sword and followed him to the palace. I knew the routes so it wasn't a difficult task for me, but I was all alone now.
Yuddhjeet had disappeared from everywhere, with no soldiers or sentinels guarding any gates inside the palace. Where could everyone be? Has he killed all of them, or converted them into devil's servants?
I could finally hear heavy grunts coming from the courtroom where I was disrobed months ago. The trauma still haunts me, but I managed to take slow steps towards it, tightening my hold on the sword.
As I entered the courtroom, the screams of my sister were echoing over there. Yuddhjeet was there with all those men, who had committed that heinous sin with my baby sister. I was sitting there naked, tied with shackles and chains.
My eyes filled with tears instantly, my hands began trembling, my chin wobbled and it felt like someone was sucking down all my strength when suddenly everything disappeared, the scene and it felt like I woke up from a nightmare.
Yuddhjeet was right in front of me, perching confidently on the throne that rightfully belongs to my husband, and now I wasn't in the courtroom anymore, instead I was in the royal hall, the throne room.
His one foot was placed on the throne, while the other was was on the ground, his hands spread wide on the side of the throne, and he scanned me from top to bottom lusciously.
I felt disgusted!
"Pretty rose, I loved you and I had already warned you that my love would be dangerous, but you wanted me, you wanted me with each of your breath. Then why did you leave me like that, hm?"
He spoke in a low masculine deep voice, that sounded more like a warning!
"Sukanya was just a servant, and you slapped me for her, for a servant? Look, that made your sister suffer!"
He asserted, and the memories of my sister and my best friend hit my mind, angering and saddening me at the same time.
He stood up from the throne, and climbed down the stairs at a leisurely dangerous pace.
"But you know what, she was amazing - tight and bleeding!"
He groaned, and I gritted my teeth with rage. How could he? How dare he? I will kill him. My breathing escalated as I ran to him, with a roar
"Haahhhhh!"
I bellowed jumping with my sword tightly held between my palms, and he raised his when both the weapons clashed.
